Boże Narodzenia w szkołe
Before Christmas and its school break, on the 19th of December, I was invited at a school, along with some other "foreigners" living in Kielce, for a Christmas Party and for speaking about the Christmas traditions in my country. I was actually quite surprised to meet there a man from South-Africa, a girl form Mexico, along with an American, an English and two Ukrainians.
For this occasion I also prepared some "truffes", a French Christmas speciality. Truffes are a kind of little chocolat balls rolled in chocolate powder.
The party was intreresting and well prepared. I myself learned a lot about the Christmas traditions of all the guests. For instance, Poles were surprised that we could eat meat on the 1st day of Christmas, weither they don't, and besides in France and as in England, the "queen-meat" for Christmas is Turkey. But the most particular was the Christmas in South-Africa, that, as the man from this country told, people spend doing barbecues on the beach!
